Mental health and self-confidence

Mental health problems often stem from difficulties in early relationships with caregivers, or painful and challenging life events. Difficult experiences can leave you feeling low, vulnerable and lacking confidence, leaving a lasting impact on your mental health. Therapy can help you understand the origins of your difficulties and open up to new possibilities and different perceptions.

Through exploring your relationship to yourself and others, I can support you to find greater understanding and self-compassion. This can build your trust and confidence, allowing you to see yourself, others and the world in a different way.

I have experience supporting people with a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, psychosis and personality disorders. I previously worked in an NHS mental health team and in a personality disorder service, and I have built my knowledge and understanding of mental health over many years.
